Prayer Ministry
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE IN THE PRAYER MINISTRY
Wednesday Night Prayer Service
An intimate mid-week service of worship, devotion, and prayer. Meets every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel or online at https://tallowood.org/watch/ or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/tallowoodbaptist/
Prayer Room Intercessors & Home Intercessors
Spend one hour per week in the 24 Hour Intercessory Prayer Room or spend an hour at home praying, writing encouraging prayer notes, and/or answering calls from those in need of prayer. Home intercessors would have the church prayer line forwarded to their home or cell phone.
Home Prayer Note Writers
Receive a packet in the mail once a month of 10 prayer requests and 10 pre-stamped blank prayer cards. You simply pray over the request or need, then follow up by writing and mailing a prayer note. This ministry can be done on your own schedule.
Covered with Prayer – Prayer Shawl Ministry
Pray as you knit or crochet shawls using suggested guidelines and/or help deliver prayer shawls to those who are in need of God's loving embrace. This ministry is open to anyone who has the desire and skills to knit or crochet (or who would like to learn) along with the aspiration to pray for the individual who will subsequently receive their shawl. Because the shawls can be made anywhere at any time, this is a very flexible opportunity for ministry.
10-10-10 Prayer against Human Trafficking
Today, around the world, 27 million men, women, and children are held captive in some form of human trafficking, primarily in forced labor or sexual slavery. There are more slaves today than at any other point in human history. Join us on the 10th of every month at 10:00 a.m. to pray against the trafficking that takes place along the I-10 corridor.
